Generations of taste

The Fitzgerald’s Butchers story…

Based in the picturesque market town of Fermoy in Cork, Barry and the team have been trading from their shop in Pearse Square since 1964.

This is a family business in every sense of the word. Passed down through the generations, the butchers is now run by Barry with his cousin Kieran running the farm. All of their beef is reared on their land in the neighbouring Castlelyons and Rathcormac.

They put the quality of their beef down to one thing, the Cork weather! The rain ensures lush, green grass that is the primary natural diet of their animals. They believe that a well looked after animal will taste better on the plate. And, believe us they’re right. If you’re ever passing through Fermoy it’s worth dropping in for their beef cheeks alone!
